Creating beautiful flowers

Hi! I'm Dawn, a qualified Florist gaining Distinction at Reaseheath College here in Cheshire.

Aswell as being a Florist I am also a grower of flowers here at Sunnyview and take great pride

in cutting my flowers for beautiful designs.

I work from my workshop and grow on my own land, rather than from a high street shop. Sunnyview is a special place that allows me to really focus on what is being grown and produced right on the doorstep.

I care about the environment and love British flowers that are unique and smell amazing.

From a Sunnyview Flowers perspective there are a number of approaches that I’ve taken and you can be sure that I am committed to making as much as an impact as I can.

My sustainability goals are:-
•    To grow local seasonal flowers and foliage.  To limit my carbon footprint by only importing flowers on very rare occasions.
•    To reuse, reduce, recycle packaging and only use green suppliers where products are biodegradable.   This includes not using floral foam which sits on landfill sites and instead, being creative and taking time to creates natural structures for floral designs.
•    To grow naturally without pesticides and look after the soil and wildlife on the land.  Using rainwater in the main and maintaining good natural peat free composting solutions.
•    Continue to learn and develop thinking by being part of different horticultural organisations that have sustainability on their agenda.

Share this learning with customers and networks.
a lot about these days
